Welcome to ZRP Architects, led by Matthew Swinhoe, RIBA.
Our vibrant office is located in Clerkenwell, Central London, where we work to deliver bespoke, practical, and beautiful spaces, buildings, and experiences to projects across London, the Home Counties, South of England, and beyond.
Our mission is to exceed our clients' expectations by crafting exceptional designs that meet their unique needs. Our focus is on creating meaningful experiences and make a difference to people's daily lives – whether they live or work in them or simply encounter them in the wider street scene. We believe that architecture is more than just designing buildings; it's about creating spaces that inspire and enhance people's lives.
We have a wealth of experience in private residential projects, from updates and remodels to extensions and new builds. Our clients come to us to start or grow their families, adapt their homes to suit their individual needs and tastes, or enjoy their retirement. We also have a strong reputation for our work in the improvement of local primary schools. We have worked with housing associations and developers to create new housing, as well as for church groups and local authorities to improve their facilities.
Established in 2012, we've worked on numerous Listed Buildings and in countless Conservation Areas. Whatever the property type, its history, use or significance, we always bring our attention to detail, enthusiasm, practicality, and good humour to ensure each project is delivered to its optimum level.
At ZRP Architects, we’re proud to have a registered Passivhaus designer in our team and believe that sustainability is an integral part of the design process, not an afterthought. From the materials we use to the systems we implement, we approach every project with a proactive mindset to minimize the environmental impact while maximizing the benefits to our clients and the community and seek to integrate energy-efficient building principles into our designs.
