Alma Street

We were engaged by a retired couple who wanted to renovate and extend the lower ground floor of their period home to make this well used part of the property best suit their needs. This involved lowering the floor within the front half of the property to provide a more generous bedroom space together with the introduction of a small ensuite shower room and WC.

Separately to the rear, a tired timber conservatory structure was removed, and a small extension was provided with a modern slim line, sliding glass walls to create a new lounge space with direct connection to the garden. New large roof lights were added along with improvements to the insulation of retained elements to improve the natural light and thermal comfort of the kitchen/dining/living area. Charred timber cladding was added to the elevation along with aluminium facias and trims to harmonise the elevation.
